Imphal, September 13 2019:
While calling upon each and every citizen to plant more trees, The Sangai Express publisher Nishikant Singh Sapam has stated that a culture of tree plantation has been successfully inculcated among the masses of Manipur.
As a part of One Manipur's ongoing tree plantation drive which is aimed at making Manipur green round the year, tree saplings were planted at the premises of Sanamahi Kiyong, Nongmaiching hills, Imphal East district and India Peace Memorial, Maibam Lotpa Ching, Bishnupur district today.

Taking part in the tree plantation drive as a special invitee, Nishikant said a sense of responsibility to plant more and more trees has been successfully inculcated among the masses.
He also hailed the contributions of One Manipur towards this end.
Nishikant noted the international concern that the planet's rainfall pattern may be altered drastically on account of the massive fire which wrecked the Amazon rain forests recently.
He then appealed to all the people to plant trees every now and then so that Manipur remains green throughout the year.
Many volunteers of One Manipur took part in the tree plantation drive.
