State logs 12 new cases

Imphal, August 13 2022:
Twelve new COVID-19 cases including one from CAPF were detected during the last 24 hours in the State.
The positive cases from the general population were reported from Imphal East (5), Imphal West (3), Thoubal (1), Kakching (1) and Chandel (1) .
As 12 cases were detected out of 366 samples tested at various testing centres, the positivity rate stood at 3.3 percent, slightly above yesterday's 2.6 per cent.
With the addition of these 12 cases, the cumulative number of positive cases in the State has reached 1,39,502 .
As no fatalities were reported during the last 24 hours, the death toll stayed at 2,143.53 individuals were discharged today after completion of their surveillance period leaving 183 active cases in the State including 4 CAPF personnel.
The recovery rate is 98.33 percent.
2936 doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered on August 12 .
With this, the State has administered 31,44,258 doses of such vaccines including 16,23,175 first doses, 12,94,069 second doses and 2,27,014 precautionary doses.
The State has in total vaccinated 62.27 percent of its eligible population with the first dose while 54.20 percent have received their second dose.
