S Manaobi to contest as independent candidate

Thoubal, October 12 2020: During a press meet held at Khoirom Ingkhol in Wangjing Hodamba, retd IPS Sarangthem Manaobi (Khoiranthaba) annouced that he will be contesting as an independent candidate in the upcoming by-elections to Wangjing Tentha Assembly Constituency (AC) .

Stating that party politics is dirty and involves lot of money and power play, Manaobi compared entering/joining a political party similar to that of entering the Chakrabihu.

Considering the repercussions of joining a party, Manaobi had decided to contest as an independent candidate.

In connection with Wangjing Tentha AC, Manaobi urged the people of the AC to choose wisely in electing its leader.

He said that if the same persons elected in the previous terms are elected again, then the AC will surely land in miserable conditions.

He further assured to work for the welfare of the people and bring positive changes in the AC.
