Senapati, September 12 2019: With the purpose of raising awareness on the importance of good nutrition and healthy eating plan, the District administration, Senapati in collaboration with the ICDS Cell, Senapati organised Poshan rally.

The rally was taken out from DC office to Mini Stadium Ground, Senapati in which DLOs, Medical department, PHED department, Sharon Training Centre, ICDS Cell, Senapati, DRDA and Senapati Government Aided High School participated.

Miranda Zimik, DPO, ICDS, Senapati said that the current month (September) is known as National Nutrition month.

Poshan Abhiyaan is Prime Minister's overarching scheme for a holistic nourishment to make the Nation a malnutrition-free country.

The journey of the first 1000 days of a child, diarrhoea control and management, anaemia control and prevention, water sanitation and hygiene and optimum nutrition are five aspects which will be underlined during the month long drive.
