A two-day national seminar on
India's Act East Policy:
Problems and Prospects
for North East India
organised by Department
of Political Science, Indira
Gandhi National Tribal
University, Regional
Campus, Manipur under
the sponsorship of Indian
Council of Social Science
Research (ICSSR), New
Delhi, began today at
Amity Hall, Adimjati
Complex, Chingmeirong.
The inaugural func-
tion was graced by Dr T
Meinya, MP, Lok Sabha,
Dr Joseph Kuba,
Regional Director,
IGNOU Regional Centre,
Arunachal Pradesh and
Prof K Ibo Singh of
Department of Political
Science, Manipur
University as the chief
guest, guest of honour
and president respec-
tively.,
according to a
statement.
The first technical
session was chaired by
Prof K Ibo Singh while
Dr Joseph Kuba, Dr N
Somorendro Singh of
Manipur College, Dr
Homen Thangjam of MB
College, Ramananda
Wangkheirakpam of
Indigenous Perspective
were the resource
persons.
Dr Malem Ningthouja
of HAS, Shimla, Hungyo
Masaileng of Don Bosco
College, Maram and
Aribam Joy Sharma of
Indigenous Perspective
were some of the
resource persons of the
second session.
