Imphal, March 11 2015:
Democratic Students Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) has alleged that the recent recruitment exam of field assistant conducted by Department of Horticulture and Soil Conservation on January 11 was full of anomalies.
In a press meet held at DESAM HO, president Angamba said "there are evidence which proves that the examination held for the recruitment by the said department is a fraud and many candidates have reported various anomalies with the result that was declared on February 12" .
He said that the recruitment was conducted as per the notice which was issued on November 6, 2014 by the Dept of Horticulture and Soil Conservation for the recruitment of 33 field assistants.
Angamba added that after the result was declared 161 candidates qualified for interview, but the criteria for clearing the exam is not clear as many candidates who secured higher marks were not selected for the interview.
Furthermore the marks of all the 6159 candidates who appeared for the exam was uploaded earlier in the department's website www.horticulture.
mn.gov.in but it has been removed lately.
More importantly the examination conducted did not use any kind of OMR sheet which provides room for manipulation.
It has provided space for corruption to creep in various recruitment exams all over the State and it should be stopped at any cost.
He warned the department concerned to clarify the confusion regarding the criteria, merits, marks and category for clearing the examination and selection for the interview within ten days to the people or the examination conducted would be declared void by DESAM.
