Th Satyabrata conveys Nupi Lan greetings

Imphal, December 10 2021: Consumer Affairs Minister Th Satyabrata Singh has conveyed his greetings to the people of Manipur on the forthcoming occasion ofNupi LanNumit which falls on December 12.Deeming this historic day a turning point in the history of Manipur, he added that it sowed the seeds of economic arid political reforms.

He urged the people to remember the courage and spirit shown by the women of Manipur who valiantly fought against the British forces in the two Nupi Lals of 1904 and 1939.He lauded Manipuri women of the day calling them empowered, responsible and able to take on multifarious roles.

He pointed out that women in Manipur lead the battle against drug menace, human rights violation, corruption, AFSPA and Citizenship Bill.

He called for all to honour women and encourage their growth in our society.
