Chandel, October 10 2016: District Level Kut Committee (DLKC), Chandel will be organising district level Kut 2016 underthe theme "Kut forunity" at Standard English High School, Khopimun near Sugnu, Chandel, on November 1 .

Informing media persons, Jangkholam Guite, secretary, DLKC, Chandel, said besides cultural events, a contest for the coveted title of Miss Kut 2016 will also be conducted during the celebration.

The winner of Miss Kut 2016 title and the first two runners up will walk away with prize money of Rs 50,000, Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively.

Winners of sub-titles will each be awarded a sum of Rs 10,000 while other contestants will be given Rs 5000 as a consolation prize.

Screening for the Miss Kut 2016 beauty pageant will be held at KSO Gunpi Block's office on October 17, Jangkholam stated.

Interested individual can participate in the contest after submitting a duly signed form that is available at authorised outlets, informed the secretary.
