Dr Laishram Nabakishore condoled

IPAK Films Production, Manipur has expressed profound sorrow and condolences over the untimely demise of Padmashri Dr Laishram Nabakishore, popularly known as "Father of Handicapped" and "Lai Nabakishore" .
He passed away on September 9, 2024.A team of IPAK Films Production, Manipur led by secretary Rakesh Naorem and member Okendro Khundongbam visited the residence of Late Dr Laishram Nabakishore at Sagolband Khamnam Leirak today to convey their solidarity to the bereaved family.
During the visit, Rakesh Naorem said that IPAK Films Production Manipur started its journey with a documentary film based on the life & work of Parmashri Dr Laishram Nabakishore which was released on January 20, 2009 at Manipur Dramatic Union hall.
Rakesh Naorem continued that 60 minutes long documentary was produced by him and directed by OC Meira with Dr Laishram Nabakishore as chief advisor of the production team.
He also shared that Dr Laishram Nabakishore was a herbalist and physician of traditional medicine, known for his therapeutic protocol for kidney stones.
Notably, Late Dr Laishram Nabakishore was a recipient of several honours including the Press Information Bureau Award of the Government of India (1996), Manipur Voluntary Health Association Award (1999), Karmayogi Award (2005) and Dr Ambedkar Fellowship (2006) .
He was also bestowed the prestigious Padna Shri by the Government of India in 2001 for his immense contribution in the field of herbal medicine.
He also released a number of books such as "Nung Leibada Mana Mashingi Layeng", "Chummi Haina Loubibra? Lalli Haina Loubibra?", "Amangsangda Ei" and "Ada Taiye" .
