Imphal, February 10 2016: The 8th Foundation Day of Patriotic Writers' Forum (PWF) Manipur was observed today at Institute of Rural Education (IRE), Wangjing.

The celebration was attended by Prof N Aruna, head of Manipuri Dept, Manipur University, Raghu Leishangthem, president of PWF, and N Rajivkumar, principal of IRE as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

During the function, three books were released.

The books are Cheklagi Kaidongpham (Meetei Mayek) by Sobita Mongjam, Lullabies by Bhabendra Longjamba (which is an English translation of the book "Naosum" written by Bhogen Toijamba), and Meetei Mayek Tamnaba Araiba Mapi Lairik by Raju Maibam.

The Forum also felicitated the award recipients � OC Meira, Kshetrimayum Subadani, Jatisor Tongbram, Kesho Singh Irengba and AK Gyaneshwori, according to a press release issued by the office secretary of PWF.
