Altogether nine cadres belonging to different UG groups have been apprehended by security forces from different places.
One KCP (MC) cadre reportedly involved in the recent abduction of Health Minister Ph Parijat's son Okenjit was arrested by a combined team of Imphal East commandos and troops of 23 AR from Yaingangpokpi at about 1.30 pm of December 7 .
According to a press release issued by SP Imphal East Th Radheshyam, the KCP (MC) cadre has been identified as Sagolsem Bimol (26) s/o late S Inao of Yaingangpokpi Bazar.
On December 9 at about 6.30 pm, Thoubal district commandos arrested one UNLF cadre identified as Kshetrimayum Apunba alias Roshan s/o Ksh Chaoba of Kakching Turel Wangma from Wangjing Bazar, informed SP Thoubal Clay Khongsai in a press release.
One KCP (MC) cadre identified as Yumkham Yaiphaba alias Aditya alias Maku (24) s/o late Bankim of Khurai Thangjam Leikai was also pulled up by Imphal West commandos from near Khuman Lampak stadium gate at about 9.30 am yesterday, informed a release issued by SSP Imphal West L Kailun.
On the other hand, three KCP (Wanglen Khuman) activists were apprehended by troops of 23 AR from Laikot, Semul and Semasang areas yesterday.
The three activists have been identified as Onsoling (25) s/o Shangreingam Ramrei of Ukhrul district, Nanao (27) s/o Ibosak of Thamnapokpi and Bimol (26) s/o late Inao of Yaingangpokpi.
All of them have been handed over to Lamlai police station.
In another incident, troops of the same unit arrested one KCP (Wanglen Khuman) from Taretkhul yesterday.
He has been identified as Ahor (25) s/o Chinao Chung of Island village.
He has been handed over to Imphal East commandos.
Further, one cadre each of the PULF (Azad) and the KYKL were pulled up from Yairipok Bazar by troops of 34 AR yesterday.
The PULF cadre has been identified as S/S finance secretary Md Waris Ali alias Sana (25) s/o Md Manwar Ali of Yairipok Tulihal while the KYKL cadre is reportedly one Arunjit alias Naobi (20) s/o late Brojen of Yairipok Poiroukhongjin.
Both of them have been handed over to Yairipok police station today.
