Thoubal, February 06 2021: Irate locals of Thoubal Moijing set alight the house of Abdul Sattar (Maiba ) who was picked up by the State police in connection with the 'suspicious' death of Ribash Khan, yesterday at around 8.45 pm.

The lifeless body of Ribash Khan (4) was found floating in a pond at Thoubal Moijing Leingoijin on January 24 days after he went missing.

Suspecting 'criminal activity', the locals have been urging the Government and the authority concerned to probe the case thoroughly.

It may also be mentioned here that the JAC concerned resolved to claim the body of Ribash on Friday.

Efforts of personnel of Thoubal police and Fire Service to douse the fire were in vain as the majority of the house was already burnt when they arrived.
