Naosad Khan JAC threatens Govt

JAC constituted against the killing of Md Naosad Khan at Lilong Nganlou Loukol has said that they will act accordingly if the Government fails to arrest the culrpits within four days.
Speaking to reporters, JAC co-convenor Aribam Aziz said that a memorandum has been submitted to Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam regarding the matter.
Aziz said that Md Naosad Khan was found allegedly murdered inside his Verna car on April 2 last year at Lilong Nganlou Loukol under Lilong police station after he went out from his house the previous day.
Lilong police pulled up one Sajish Alma alias Thoicha (28) s/o Md Mejan Khan regarding the case the next day.
During the course of interrogation, Sajish Alma disclosed the name of one Nazir (27) s/o Md Ibrahim Shah of Keirao Awang Leikai as his co-accused, Aziz added.
However, Nazir has been absconding since then.
Aribam Aziz said that Sajish was produced before a Thoubal Court and remanded to the judicial custody.
After Sajish was lodged in Manipur Central Jail, Sajiwa for around one month, he was freed on bail, Aziz added.
On the other hand, after one year and two months, police arrested Nazir from Pangei area on June 30 morning.
He is presently lodged at Heingang police station, Aribam Aziz added.
The JAC had submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Chief Minister to take up steps to arrest the remaining culprits at the earliest, he added and added that copies of the memorandum were also submitted to the MLA of Kshetrigao AC, DGP, SP Imphal West, OC Heingang police station and OC Lilong police station.
