SWC Khangabok observes 56th Foundation Day

Thoubal, January 04 2025: The Social Welfare Club (SWC) Khangabok celebrated its 5 6th Foundation Day cum Golden Jubilee celebration today at its Club office located in Khangabok Khulakpam Leikai.

The event was attended by Khangabok Constituency MLA, Okram Suijakumar, former Khangabok Zilla Parishad member, Kh Rajmohon, Modem College Imphal, retd Principal, Dr L Ibungohal, Khangabok Part I GP, chairperson, Th Sobha, founder cum principal of Wisdom Foundation Khangabok, L Sobha and proprietor of Sur Hospital Khangabok, Dr L Somenkumar as presidium members.

As part of the programme, National Youth Awardee, Kh Rajmohon and Jina Ranjit & Sons, Khangabok, CEO, N Ranjit, who took a crucial role in constructing the Club building were honoured with special gifts.

The event also feted those individuals of the locality who have excelled in the field of sports and education with special gifts.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Surjakumar stated that due to the ongoing violence in the State, people are left in a state of despair.

Be it sports, education or any field of profession have been hampered due to the crisis.

"In order to not let those youths go in the wrong path, the localities and clubs must play a vital role to nurture them to excel in the field of sports and education", Surjakumar added.
