Ningols from Assam, Shillong and Manipur attend Ningol Chakkouba held at Guwahati

Guwahati, November 03 2019: Guwahati branch of Patriotic Writers Forum Manipur has organized 'Ningol Chakkouba' at Hotel Kalpa which saw participation from many ningols hailing from Guwahati, Shillong, Hojai, Cachar and Manipur wearing traditional attires.

All the participating Ningols brought fruits and other items for the organizers while the members of Patriotic Writers Forum, Guwahati branch presented simple gifts to the Ningols after having the feast.

The event was graced by president Patriotic Writers Forum, Guwahati Branch, Thounaojam Shyam Singh; vice-president W Helensana; president Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Kamaruk District, Assam, H Hemango Singh; Lt Colonel Keisham Tejmani; president GMSO, Dr Laishram Sukumar and Secy MNC, Ksh Singhajit.

Speaking at the occasion, Secy Patriotic Writers Forum, Assam Raju Maibam said that the Forum has been organizing the Ningol Chakkouba event since 2016 which falls on the first anniversary of the Forum to strengthen the bond of love and respect between brother and sister.

President Thounaojam Shyam said that the event will bring the Meetei community settled in Guwahati more closer.
