Thangmeiband Youth Centre celebrates 28th foundation day

Imphal, February 02 2020: Thangmeiband Youth Centre celebrated its 28th foundation day at Thangmeiband Hijam Dewan Leikai today.

MLA of Thangmeiband AC Th Joykisan graced the function as the chief guest while Thangmeiband Youth Centre president Y Samananda attended as the functional president and RIMS Head of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Th Chito, Thangmeiband Youth Centre advisor H Kunjobabu Meetei, retired CDO Longjam Ibomcha and Film Forum Manipur Chairman S Mangoljao as guests of honour.

Floral tributes were paid to the photo of the late members of the youth centre, who played important roles in establishing the club and worked tirelessly for the welfare of the club.

Speaking at the function, MLA Joykisan said that the role of a club in a society is huge and people should be mindful of this.

He appealed to all to refrain from indulging in works with vested interest and to think and execute initiatives for the betterment of all.

Sandrela Puyam, who bagged gold medal at Khelo India in Guwahati was felicitated for her achievement.

Meanwhile, gifts (sponsored Yambem Kiran) were presented to the families of the late members of the club.
