Moreh, June 01 2014: A museum complex was inaugurated today at Moreh.

The museum complex is the brainchild of Jamkhomang Haokip, Convenor, Social Development Foundation, Moreh Ward No 9 .

The museum complex is intended to serve the dual purpose of treating the eyes and a rest house for tourists who are visiting the border town.

Director (TA&H), Lunminthang Haokip expressed his wish that the State Govt gives patronage to the museum by providing materials to the museum.

Rev Ngamjapao Haokip, General Secretary, Kuki Baptist Convention, Manipur launched the museum by lighting the ceremonial candles.

Ginsei Lhungdim, Vice-President of Hill Tribal Council, Moreh highlighted the background of the museum while troupe of Lamhil Kuki Cultural Research Centre, Haokip Veng, Imphal presented various cultural items during the inaugural function.
