Imphal, November 30 2013 : As part of the Distribution of Rabi Inputs under RKVY 2013-14 programme, Agriculture Minister Md Abdul Nasir today distributed winter crops seeds to farmers of Khurai assembly constituency.

Addressing the beneficiary farmers at Kangla Sangomsang, Minister Nasir said with hard work and application of modern agricultural technology Manipur like Punjab State could also make tremendous progress in agriculture.

Confiding that the Government is planning to distribute high yielding paddy seeds to atleast 1000 farmers, he prevailed upon the State farmers on the need to increase food grain production for successful implementation of the Food Security Act.

Khurai AC MLA and Manipur Pollution Control Board Chairman Dr Ng Bijoy Singh, Deputy director (Agriculture) Ph Rajen and RKVY Nodal Officer H Ibocha Singh also attended the programme organised by Organisation of Farmers' Field School, Kangla Sangomsang.
