Anticipatory bail hearing today

Imphal, July 31 2019: Hearing of the anticipatory bail application filed by the Principal and Administrator of Standard Robarth Higher Secondary School was held before the court of Session Judge today and fixed tomorrow for further hearing.

As the investigation officer of SIT submitted the anticipatory bail objection report before the Court yesterday.

SIT was constituted by SP Imphal west to investigate the mysterious death of N Babysana at the hostel of Standard Robarth Higher Secondary School on July 18 .

The Court heard the counsels of the anticipatory bail petitioners and APP of the State at length and after the hearing the Court fixed tomorrow for further hearing of the anticipatory bail.

The anticipatory bail application was filed by Pheiroijam Landhoni founder cum Principal of Standard Robarth Higher Secondary School and Pheiroijam Romita two days after Babysana was found dead inside the hostel of the school on July 18 morning.

Till today the SIT has arrested head warden Kamei Illen, warden N Jinnty and Junior Administrator Pheiroijam Robinson son of Pheiroijam Landhoni.

Head Warden Kamei Illen, Warden N Jinnty are presently lodged in Manipur Central Jail Old Lambulane after being remanded by the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal West.

Junior Administrator Pheiroijam Robinson who was arrested on July 29 at around 10.30 pm has been taken into seven days police remand till August 5 .
