Imphal, April 30 2016 :
Even as the JAC against the brutal killing of Sagolsem Prasanta alias Abung has decided to intensify its agi-tation, a public meeting held today under the auspices of the JAC decided to relax the indefinite general strike along Singjamei-Lilong bridge stretch of Imphal-Moreh highway tomorrow (Sunday) for students appearing the AIPMT exam and MEELAL's State level Meetei Mayek exam.
According to a statement issued by the JAC, the public meeting held today expressed strong disappointment over the alleged inactivity of the State Govt in booking the culprits involved in the alleged killing of Sagolsem Prasanta.
The meeting also demanded the authority concern- ed to come out in public with the post mortem report within 48 hours.
The meeting decided to further intensify the stir if the report is distorted.
Asserting that the ongoing agitation demanding justice in the death of Prasanta has no communal agenda, the meeting held today urged all concerned to stop interpreting the agitation on communal line.
The public meeting resolved to stage a mass sit-in protest and a rally on May 2 .
