In an endeavour towards the realisation of ushering in proper medical health care facilities in rural areas of the State, 24 x7 medical service was launched at two different Primary Health Centres in Thoubal district today.
The service was launched at PHC Charangpat and PHC Khoirom by Parliamentary Secretary (MI and IPR) and also MLA of Wangkhem A/C K Meghachandra in the presence of CMO/District Mission Director, District Health Society, Thoubal Dr N Jayantakumar.
Dignitaries of the function included pradhan of Charangpat GP L Anita Leima, Medical Officer of PHC Charangpat Dr RK Kshemitra, Pradhan of Leirongthel Ningel GP Salam Kumar and Medical Officer of PHC Khoirom Dr A Rajen.
Speaking at the function Meghachandra stated that the service would give benefits to the people of both the areas in health care facilities.
The service is launched under the Rural Health Mission and such facilities in PHC will bring tremendous change in the society, he added.
He urged the Hospital Management Society and the local people to derive maximum benefits from the PHC.
