School drop-outs would be given an opportunity for enrolment in educational institutions in the course of the State Government's Go to Village mission which would be launched at the State level as well as district level.
As a part of the Go to Village mission, camps would be opened through which information about Government's welfare schemes and development programmes would be provided instantaneously and comprehensively, informed a source.
The Chief Minister has instructed all officials concerned to enroll students at these camps who have dropped out of schools due to poverty and provide them scholarship so that they can continue their formal education.
The Chief Minister has also directed all the DCs to identify community ponds where a common bathroom or two would be constructed under the MP Local Area Development Scheme, conveyed the source.
The mission would be launched at the State level by the Chief Minister at Imphal while Ministers, MLAs, Panchayats and ADCs would launch the same mission at the district level.
The particular places where the mission would be launched at district level would be determined by the DCs concerned in consultation with All DCs have been already instructed to set up a committee each.
The number of days camps would be opened within a month under Go to Village mission would be determined between the respective DCs and the nodal officers.
People may register themselves and air their grievances/complaints during these camps.
These camps would be monitored by SDOs and the DCs and the DCs concerned would submit reports to the Planning Secretary.
Administrative Secretaries who have been designated as in-charge of different districts would monitor the Go to Village mission every fortnight.
The Chief Secretary will monitor the mission together with Administrative Secretaries and Heads of Departments every month.
In the next tier, the Chief Minister will monitor the mission together with his Council of Ministers every three months, said the source.
The State Government has been working to create an exclusive website and a WhatsApp group which would disseminate detailed information about the mission and its progress.
Essential documents like income certificate, domicile certificate etc may be obtained without wasting much time from the camps which would be opened as a part of the Go to Village mission.
Grievances related to ration cards, Aadhaar cards, labour cards, CMST, CMHT etc would be addressed at these camps, if reasonable, said the source.
Applications for MUDRA loans would be examined at these camps and eligible applicants would be selected, added the source.
