NIT Manipur holds convocation ceremony

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Manipur marked a significant milestone with the celebration of its 11th Convocation on Friday, at its campus in Langol, Imphal.
A total of 244 students received their degrees during the ceremony, including 23 PhDs, 28 MTechs, 38 MScs, and 155 BTechs.
Chairman's Gold Medal was awarded to Koukuntla Komai Reddy from the BTech Computer Science and Engineering program.
The other gold medalists are Mutum Rajesh Meitei, Challa Dhanush Sri Karthik Reddy, Ural Oinam, and Meenika Thoudam.
Prof Ratnam V Raja Kumar, former Director, Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneshewar and founding Vice Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, Hyderabad; and Bajrang Lal Bagra, former CMD NALCO and Chairperson, Board of Governors, NIT Manipur graced the ceremony as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Ratnam V Raja Kumar said that since its inception in 2010, NIT Manipur has distinguished itself as a pre-eminent Institution of Scientific and Technological Studies and high-caliber research.
"Indeed, it is the hard work, devotion to quality, contributions of its illustrious alumni, dedication of the teachers and staff, and vision of the administration that are responsible for the achievements", he added.
He asserted that many of the NIT Manipur Alumni are on the patch of excelling globally as technology leaders, scientists, managers, educators, and entrepreneurs.
It may be mentioned that NIT Manipur was started in 2010 which initially started with just three Under Graduate Programme in the temporary campus located in Polytechnic campus, Takyel has grown into a full-fledged institute offering Under Graduate, Post graduate and PhD Programmes in various streams at Langol.
