ZB (AMN) president condemns NSCN-IM for 'harassing' his son

Imphal, December 26 2020: Ahtuan Aboumei, president Zeliangrong Baudi-Assam Manipur and Nagaland has condemned the NSCN-IM for allegedly harassing his son by some of its cadres on December 24 at Pallong village.

He appealed to the State Government and authority concerned to arrest all involved in 'harassing' his son at the earliest.

Briefing media persons at Manipur Press Club, He stated that his son Arei Aboumai .

went to her grandmother's house to celebrate Christmas and on 24 December at around 4 pm some unknown persons who claimed themselves to be cadres of NSCN-IM harassed his son.

The timely action of 44 Assam Rifles rescued his son from NSCN-IM, he added.

Regarding it a complaint has been registered at Tamei Police Station for taking up necessary actions, he said and added that the Zeliangrong Baudi along with other like-minded organizations will launch agitations if all involved in harassing his son are not arrested by December 31.Further alleging that NSCN-IM is the organization which commits a maximum crime and human right violations in Manipur, Ahtuan Aboumei added that they will apprise the issue before the Union Home Minister during his visit tomorrow.

He stated that since 2018 onward the NSCN-IM under the collective leadership of the Th Muivah NSCN-IM has been harassing the innocent Zelianrong public.

He appealed to the Central and State Governments to take action against NSCN-IM who are harassing the innocent civilians in Manipur.

The press meet was also attended by other executive members of Zeliangrong Baudi and chairman of Zeliangrong Students Union.
