Imphal, December 26 2014 : The proscribed RPF/PLA has condoled the demise of Sergeant Doren alias Moirangthem Devid s/o M Sarat and M (O) Anita of Churachandpur Bijang Family Lane.

According to a press release issued by the outfit's department of publicity chief Bangkim, Sgt Doren was killed in a gun battle with troops of 26 Assam Rifles at Behiang near Border Pilla No 39 of Indo-Myanmar border in Churachandpur district at around 7 pm of December 21 .

Offering revolutionary salute to the late cadre, the outfit informed that Doren alias Devid was given army no 2953 after completion of basic military training on October 18, 2007 .

After that, he was posted in different mobile battalions of the PLA and he was last posted at 252 M/Bn and worked relentlessly for freedom against all odds.

Doren was a cool-headed, well disciplined, sincere revolutionary cadre who had a penchant for reading.

A condolence meetings in honour of the departed soul has been held in all units, departments and stations of the party, it conveyed.

The outfit further conveyed solidarity to the bereaved family, friends and relatives.
