'Make emergency service available before deadline'

Although the Bishnupur District Hospital is back to normal functioning after the COVID Care Centre for the district was shifted to Old Mini Secretariat Complex, there is still no emergency service available, which has become a major source of concern for denizens.
In this connection, the Apunba Nupi Lup Bishnupur District vice president, N Bimola Devi has appealed the concerned authority to look into the matter and has issued a deadline to do so.
During the press meet held today at the office of the lup in Bishnupur, the vice president said that it will launch strong agitations after due consultation with CSOs in case their demand is not met.
She further stated that the District Hospital which was temporarily used as a COVID Care Centre started functioning regularly after repeated appeals from the public.
However, the absence of an emergency service is causing inconvenience to the public.
The lup will launch agitations, including shutting down the hospital if the demand is not entertained by October 10, she maintained.
Meanwhile, CMO Bishnupur has stated that the District Hospital is witnessing staff shortage and lackf of other facilities.
