Imphal, May 26 2019: The Organising Committee of Khurai Nandeibam Leikai Zilla Parishad Annual Meritorious Award Function felicitated the successful students of class X and XII of the Zilla Parishad at Ima Lai Khutlembi Shanglen today.

Awardee of Param Vishisht Seva Medal, Uttam Yudh Seva Medal, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, Yudh Seva Medal as well as retd chairman of Manipur Public Service Commission Lt General Dr K Himalay Singh graced the function as the chief guest while member of Khurai Nandeibam Leikai Zilla Parishad A Okendra Singh attended as the functional president and Deputy Director (Health) De Y Premchandra Singh and State Nodal Officer RKSK, National Health Mission Dr Jubilee Wahengbam as guests of honour respectively.

Speaking at the function, K Himalay said that students from class X to XII are still young and are not strong enough to make the right decisions and added that it is the responsibility of all as elders to know their ambitions, dreams and desires so as to guide them in the right path.

However, students should also try to make rational decision and choices as the world is changing and developing in a fast pace, he added.

If the young students and children are very well educated and disciplined then they will always emerge as successful and rational persons at every challenges they face, Himalay maintained.

He further urged the students to remain motivated and encouraged at times of failure.

A total of 65 meritorious students in the examination conducted by board along with 24 successful students of CBSE, 13 class XII students of Arts stream, 47 students of Science and 7 of Commerce were presented with gifts.

On the other hand, Build Your Success (BYS) and Ultimate Academic Champion, organised a felicitation ceremony for the 1st to 25th position holders of the HSLC exam 2019 conducted by BOSEM, at Macha Leima School, Palace Compound today.

Yaiskul AC MLA Thokchom Satyabrata Singh, Education (U) Director W Malemnganba Chenglei and Johnstone Higher Secondary School retired lecturer Yumnam Nabakumar Singh, attended the event as the presidium members Wal United Youth Club, Wangkhei Angom Leikai organised a felicitation ceremony for 1st Division holders of class X and XII, conducted by BOSEM and CBSE.

HRD Academy Ghari administrator T Somorjit, Wal United youth Club Wangkhei president N Babu and Assistant Prof GP Women College, Dr K Indrakumar attended the function as dignitaries.

A total of 19 students residing in the surrounding areas were received on the 14th meritorious award ceremony.
