Biren predicts second term for NDA Govt

Claiming that the BJP-led NDA would secure landslide victory in the Lok Sabha election scheduled next year, Chief Minister N Biren has predicted a second consecutive term for the NDA Government.
Commemorating completion of four years in office by the NDA Government at the Centre and one year by the BJP-led coalition Government in the State, a series events christened Vishesh Sampark Abhiyan have been lined up.
Speaking to media persons about these series of events at the Nityaipat Chuthek office of BJP Manipur Pradesh today, Chief Minister N Biren stated that the whole country must be proud to have a Prime Minister like Narendra Modi.
NDA will certainly win the next Lok Sabha election and Narendra Modi will remain the Prime Minister, he asserted.
Against all odds and criticisms, the Central Government led by Narendra Modi has been serving the country's 1.25 billion people for the past four years and his Government will continue to serve the country, he said.
Congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP National president Amit Shah for their outstanding achievements, the Chief Minister also conveyed best wishes to the people of Manipur.
Biren went on to claim that the popularity of Narendra Modi has been growing day by day.
Two news channels recently conducted an opinion poll on the chances of Narendra Modi becoming the country's Prime Minister for the second time.
While one channel recorded 75 per cent chances, the other one says 55 per cent, Biren conveyed.
Talking about achievements of the NDA Government, Biren asserted that Modi took up a number of welfare programmes which are people oriented whereas many welfare programmes implemented in the past were just nominal.
Under Ujjwala Yojana, 39.87 people have been given LPG connections and a total of Rs 25 crore has been given as loans to 56.94 lakh beneficiaries under MUDRA, stated the Chief Minister.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also launched a number of social security schemes.
Taking due note of the talents and persistent spectacular performance of players from the State, the NDA Government has set up a National Sports University in the State and the Central Government recently passed an ordinance to this effect.
Maternity leave has been raised from 12 weeks to 26 weeks and 33 per cent seats have been reserved for women for different Government jobs as parts of the Government's initiative towards women empowerment, Biren said.
BJP Manipur Pradesh president and Rajya Sabha MP K Bhabananda claimed that Narendra Modi had abolished a prolonged dynastic rule which was characterised by rampant corruption and directionless policies.
Modi works for 15-16 hours in a day and there is not a single case of corruption charge against him.
He took some bold and landmark decisions like demonetisation, surgical strike and GST which the previous Governments could not accomplish, Bhabananda said.
Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country's economy witnessed dramatic growth.
During 2013-17, the country s GDP growth reached 31 per cent, he claimed.
Foreign investment too saw sharp increase while Yoga has been popularised throughout the world.
