Ukhrul, March 24 2017: Prolong network unavailability in Ukhrul district has paralysed the banking and transaction services causes and has forced UBI, Ukhrul Main Branch to shut down, reports Mungchan Zimik.

For the past 2 days, UBI, Ukhrul Main Branch could not provide any service owing to unavailability of internet connection and that has irked its customers.

Though customers have approached the bank manager requesting to sort out the issue, no positive step has been initiated, one customer said.

While another customer added, "I am fed of "No network service, inconvenience regretted".

This is a very common excuse" .

Customers said that other UBI branches at Mini Secretariat, Ukhrul, transaction service is being provided.

They questioned why UBI, Ukhrul Main Branch could not take up any step to solve the issue.

After internet service has reportedly resumed today, one Hungyohung rushed to the bank at around 11 am.

Unfortunately, the bank was closed.

UBI, Ukhrul Main Branch rely only on BSNL and VSAT which was also installed long back is not functional till date.

Ramungo Library Group (RLG) submitted a formal complaint against UBI, Ukhrul Main Branch to the Deputy Commissioner regarding the issue.
