Medical seminar organised at Tribal Research Institute

A seminar on "Access to Essential Medicine and Peoples' Health" has been organised by Centre of Medical and Sales Representatives' Union, Imphal at the Chingmeirong auditorium hall of Tribal Research Institute today.
Addressing the gathering National Co-ordinator of People's Health Assembly Amitava Guha highlighting role of the Medical and Sales Representatives in introducing life saving drugs also stated that various medicines are made available to the public at free of cost.
Imphal unit president of the Union Chinglen Meisnam in his address regretted that bandh/blockade supporters do not exempt transportation of even life saving drugs from the purview of their agitation.
He also suggested that State authorities pull up and punish those found guilty of destroying medicines in order to prevent recurrence of such undesired acts.
Representatives of Indian Medical Association, Bar Association and trade union organisations also attended the seminar.
