The Bharatiya Janata Party Manipur Pradesh has conveyed heartfelt congratulation to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for presenting the Union Budget 2024, that is going to push India towards new heights of growth, welfare and inclusiveness.In a release, M Asnikumar Singh, spokesperson of BJP Manipur Pradesh, said that the Union Budget 2024 is focused on the middle-class, employment creation, skilling, empowerment and promoting entrepreneurship in the pursuit of PM Narendra Modi's "Viksit Bharat" .
"Our government is dedicated to holistic, widespread, and inclusive development for all citizens, with a particular focus on farmers, youth, women, and the impoverished", said M Asnikumar.
M Asnikumar asserted that to achieve comprehensive social justice, a saturation approach will be employed to ensure all eligible individuals are covered by various programs, including those for education and health, thereby empowering them by enhancing their capabilities.
In accordance with the strategy outlined in the interim budget, this budget envisions sustained efforts across nine key priorities to create ample opportunities for all.
The Budget priorities are- Productivity and resilience in Agriculture; Employment & Skilling; Inclusive Human Resource Development and Social Justice; Manufacturing & Services; Urban Development; Energy Security; Infrastructure; Innovation, Research & Development; and Next Generation Reforms.
He expressed delight over the proposal to allocate Rs 2 Lakh Crore for job creation over 5 years and a new employment skilling scheme to provide skills to 20 lakh youth in 5 years.
He also outlined other key points of the Union Budget such as financial support up to Rs 10 lakh for higher education in domestic institutions; Internship scheme for 1 crore youth in 500 top companies with Rs 5,000 per month as internship allowance and one-time assistance of Rs 6,000; allocation of over Rs 3 lakh crore to programs benefiting women and girls; and Rs 1.52 lakh crore for agriculture and allied sector.
He continued that the comprehensive review of Income Tax Act 1961 announced by Nirmala Sitharaman will help the middle-class and provide relief to about four crore salaried individuals and pensioners.
"The Union Budget 2024 ensures that all Indians, irrespective of their religion, caste, gender and age, make substantial progress in realizing their life goals and aspirations" he added.
Further, he asserted that this commitment encompasses providing equal opportunities and resources, fostering an inclusive environment, and implementing policies that empower every citizen to achieve their fullest potential.
"By addressing systemic barriers and promoting equity, we aim to create a society where everyone can thrive and contribute meaningfully to the Nation's development", concluded M Asnikumar.
