Acharya meets NE youth

New Delhi, July 23 2014:
The newly appointed Nagaland Governor, PB Acharya, today met a delegation of North East youths in New Delhi today afternoon.
The Governor interacted with the youths on problems faced by the youths and North East people in the capital and other cities of India.
Speaking to the gathering he said that the North East people are an asset to the country.
The unity in diversity of a country like India with diverse culture and tradition is the uniqueness of the country, he said.
Taking suggestions from the youth on measures to tackle crimes and issue related to the people of North East India, the Governor condemned violence and crimes meted out to NE people.
Besides others, Governor Acharya suggested that educational institutions and academic centers should begin inclusion of 'language studies' as part of its curriculum and proposed for exchange of knowledge and more people interactions.
Students, youths and professionals shared their opinions and suggestions for measures and concerns.
Some of which includes better policing and judicial process.
