No recognition for private schools, NOC for CBSE affiliation: Thaisii

While expressing serious concern on the ever growing population of private schools in the state which gives a direct impact on the sustainability of the government schools, Education Minister DD Thaisii today said that the Education department will not issue recognition to new private schools nor it will issue No Objection Certificate to them for affiliation to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
Thaisii was attending the 2d Prize Distribution Function to meritorious students of Mekola Private Centre who passed the HSLC Examination 2011 in first Division held at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hall, Mekola Keithel today.
Speaking on the occasion as chief guest, Thaisii expressed satisfaction on learning the development of the government schools in the past years.
It may be mentioned that a student of Mekola Gulap Higher Secondary School a government school top among the students of the five schools including two private schools with letter marks in four subjects.
He said that many people of the state are setting up schools as a way of earning huge amounts.
Such trend of ever increasing numbers of commercialized private schools in the state is giving a direct blow on the sustainability of the government schools in the state.
In order to curb the threats given by the private schools to the government schools, the government is taking up the decision to stop issuing recognition for state board and NOC for CBSE affiliation.
MLA RK Anand who presided over the function said that education system in the state is developing.
Schools in the state are producing many meritorious students in the past years.
It is very important to have a special budget to develop human resources apart from the current education budget in order to make the future pillar bright and successful in every field.
