Many extend Christmas wish

Imphal, December 22 2020: All Manipur Ethnical Socio-Cultural Organisation (AMESCO) wished the people of Manipur, especially the Christian community ahead of the Christmas festival.

A statement released by AMESCO said the organisation will not be taking part in Christmas celebrations at different Churches and villages due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

AMESCO prayed for peace and integrity in the State and said there will be no exchange of gifts or receiving of donations for Christmas celebration this year, added the statement.

Manipur Muslim Welfare Organisation (MMWO) also extended advance Christmas wishes to the people of Manipur, especially to the Christian brethren.

MMWO prayed for enriching our lives with the eternal spirit of love, compassion, generosity and forgiveness with the coming of Christmas, said a statement released by the organisation.

United Meitei Pangal (Muslims) Organisation (UMPO) also wished the people of Manipur on the eve of Christmas festival.
