Diabetes and Gout detection camp conducted

Imphal, November 22 2021: A one day free Diabetes and Gout detection camp was held on November 21 at the community hall of Sangaiprou Mamang Youth Development Club.

The detection camp was jointly organised by the Lions Club, Imphal, Lions Club Imphal North and Lions Club of Imphal Northern Hemisphere in association with Sangaiprou Naharol Club, Ima Chenghi and Lupin Diabetes Care, said a press release issued by Lions Club of Imphal.

During the health camp, 110 (one hundred and ten) persons were detected with Diabetes and Gout and doctors sensitized the public regarding the said diseases.

Later an interaction programme was also held.

The camp was attended by Professor Dr Yumnam Iboton Singh of Lions Club, Dr Ahongsangbam Mina Singh, former professor of Medicine, RIMS, Dr Shyamkumar Laishram, former professor and head of Department of Haematology & Blood Transfusion, RIMS, Dr A Cicil, Senior Paediatrician and paramedics, added the press release.
