Demanding the Government to pay immediate attention to the plight of the students who have not been able to attend proper classes following the strike of the teachers over their demand for implementation of 6th Central Revised Pay in toto, student community have warned of launching various intense agitations if the Government fails to do the needful.
Addressing a press conference jointly organised by students of various high schools and higher secondary schools at the head office of DESAM here today, general secretary of Lamlong Higher Secondary School Shantibala Saikhom, who spoke on behalf of other students present, said that it is unfortunate for the student community of Manipur that the Government has not done anything even though the students have not been able to proper classes for the last many days.
If the Government continues to remain indifferent to the plight of the students, then the students would be constraint to launch various intense agitations, Shantibala warned.
She also asserted that schools and colleges under the Government of Manipur have not been doing well as the Government has not given proper attention.
The issue over implementation of 6th Central Revised Pay in toto should be resolved at once and allow the students to have normal classes, she further demanded.
