Imphal, February 22 2017:
JD(D) Manipur State Unit today said that since election is approaching, BJP chose make unproblematic statements on Framework Agreement instead of revealing its contents.
Speaking at the felicitation programme of former KCP (KK group) chairman Chongtham Nganba at Hatta New Checkon, JD(U) Manipur State Unit Hangkhanpao Taithul said, "BJP instead of revealing the contents of the Framework Agreement asked the people of Manipur not to be afraid.
Is this a word to say when people have been demanding to disclose the details? People already know that BJP is hiding something big" .
He said, "If the Nagas of Manipur say that the areas inhabited by them belong only to the Nagas then rest of the people of Manipur are bound to think that Nagas are trying to divide the State" .
"BJP claim that it will bring better changes.
What better changes are they talking about? Armed individuals are now freely roaming in National Highways where the economic blockade is imposed.
Is this the 'better changes' BJP was talking about? Is BJP trying to stir up trouble in the State again through the Framework Agreement?" he questioned.
He further said, "BJP also promised to make UNC lift the economic blockade if the Congress-led State Government steps down for two days.
This shows that the blockade will continue" .
JD(U) will try all possible means to ensure the territorial integrity of the State is protected.
As such, people should vote for JD(U) candidates in the upcoming State Assembly election, he said.
