RK Imo lists relief steps for Sagolband

Imphal, May 20 2021: Sagolband AC MLA RK Imo has announced a list of relief measures for Covid victims of his Constituency in the second wave.

In a statement, the MLA said that Rs 20,000 will be given to people who have lost family members due to COVID-19 .

Announcing a series of relief measures, the MLA continued that children who have lost both their parents to Covid will be given Rs 20,000 per year for education for three years and up to Rs 10,000 for children who have lost their family bread earner (one parent )for the next three years or till they attain 18 years, whichever is earlier.

Imo further apprised that families who have lost members to Covid will also be given free ration (rice) up to 4 kg per person monthly for 1 year while essential service will be distributed to all who are under quarantine/isolation due to Covid.

The MLA, on the other hand, said that 10 ICU portable ventilators have been donated to the Health Directorate and JNIMS (5).The 5 ICU ventilators given to the Health Director are specifically for interior areas like Ukhrul, Churachandpur and Thoubal District Hospitals, he added.
