Imphal, March 20 2015 : A felicitation function was held today at Khonghampat Awang Leikai community hall in honour of BJP Mahila Morcha National vice-president A Sarda under the aegis of the Human Care Foundation.

Speaking at the gathering, Sarda said that the BJP-led NDA Government has launched a number of schemes for socio-economic alleviation of women across the country.

In line with former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee's vision, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has put his focus on development of the North East region.

Claiming that BJP is committed to people's welfare and socio-economic alleviation of women, Sarda said that people of the North East region have many grievances because of prolonged negligence by political parties which were in power at the Centre.

After all the grievances were highlighted to the party's National leadership by BJP Manipur Pradesh, the Government of India has shifted its focus to the region, Sarda said.

She then appealed to all women electorate of the State to join BJP and strengthen the party.
