Imphal, December 18 2016: Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) has today observed its 9th foundation day.

The programme which was held at JNIMS auditorium was graced by Prof Subhas Choudhury, Biome tric Department, Prof L Deben, Director, JNIMS, Prof H Lokhendro, HOD, Microbiology, JNIMS, Prof L Ranbir, Medical Superintendent, Prof W Gyaneshor, Dean, Academics and Dr Ksh Lokeshor, Department of Medicine as the chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.

JNIMS was upgraded on 2007 .

Speaking at the programme, Director Prof L Deben said that various health care services provided by JNIMS have been made public by releasing souvenirs and magazines in order to enable the people to get information on extensive services and facilities provided by JNIMS.

Prof Subhas said that JNIMS is able to attain remarkable achievements in such a short span of time.

Medical facilities available in the State can be now compared to leading healthcare providers of other States and this is possible due to the facilities and relentless services of JNIMS.

He added that JNIMS will march forward and contribute in developing the medical care of the country.
