Jiribam, December 18 2012: The Court Building of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chandel district was inaugurated today by Justice RM Lodha, Judge of the Supreme Court.

Inaugurating the Court Building, Justice TM Lodha urged Magistrates and lawyers to maintain punctuality and discipline while adding that the Court Building is a temple of justice.

The inaugural function of the building was attended among others by Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court AK Goel; AMBA general secretary S Shyamcharan Singh; Executive Chairman (Imphal East) of Manipur State Legal Service Authority, T Nandakumar Singh; Justice N Kotiswar Singh of Gauhati High Court; Advocate General Th Ibohal Singh; MLA of Chandel AC Nunghlung Victor; DC of Chandel Th Chitaranjan Singh and other civil and police officials and representatives of civil society organisations.

A souvenir was also released to commemorate the event.

Later, a one-day district level legal awareness programme was also organised where several resource persons delivered speech on different topics.

Chandel MLA Nunghlung Victor also inspected the construction of Mini Secretariat in DC Complex premises.

EE of PWD Chandel, Milan Singh also accompanied the MLA.
