HAI Stakeholders Consultation held

The Himalayan Agroecology Initiative (HAI), Meghalaya State Level Stakeholders Consultation was held at the College of Post Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences (CPGS-AS), Umiam, Meghalaya on Tuesday.
Notably, the CPGS-AS, Umiam is a constituent College of the Central Agricultural University, Imphal.
The event was graced by Dr Anupam Mishra, Vice Chancellor of CAU, Imphal as the chief guest.
It was attended by Dr Malavika Dadani, National Consultant; D Sohtan, Director of Horticulture Meghalaya; Dr JC Lyngdo, Director Agriculture, Meghalaya; Dr Jai C Rana, Country Consultant, Alliance Biodiversity and CIAT; and Dr S V Ngachan, Senior Consultant Meghalaya and former Director ICAR NEH region.
Dean, CPGS-AS and Dean COA, Krydemkulai, faculty members of CPGSAS and COA Krydemkulai, and students also participated in the event.
The programme began with a welcome address by Dr S V Ngachan.
Dr Malavika Dadani, D Sohtan, Dr J C Lyngdo and Dr Jai C Rana also shared their insight on the Himalayan Agroecology, climate and sustainability.
The programme culminated with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr Dwipendra Thakuria, Dean, CPGS-AS .
