Snake bite victim saved at Lilong

A snake bite victim was saved by 28 AR Lilong post who provided aid.
Md Nazir (25) son of Late Sanakhamba of Lilong Nungei was bitten by a venomonus snake while he was working in a paddy field on June 17 .
He was immediately brought to the Lilong AR post around 4 pm where he was immediately attended to and was given first aid by nursing staff of the post.
Immediate rescue and timely treatment yielded in saving the life of the person who was in a dire state.
The mother of Md Nazir and his relatives conveyed their heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff and personnel of the post for providing the timely assistance, care and life saving drugs, the absence of which would have proved lethal to the person's life, a statement of the 28 AR post said.
Meanwhile, troops of 27 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR(South) presented sports amenities to the orphan children of Kapaar Kachoung Orphange and Children Education Centre today.
Commander 9 Sector Assam Rifles presented the sports amenities to the children in a simple ceremony organized at Orphanage premises in the presence of Commandant 27 Assam Rifles and local populace and troops.
Commander 9 Sector Assam Rifles exhorted the students to pursue a path of all around development so as to grow into responsible citizens on whom the future of the country depends.
Assam Rifles stands committed to continue its philanthropic endeavors and provided more assistance to the Orphanage to uplift the quality of life and bright future of the children, a statement of the IGAR(S) said.
