Tribal students serve ultimatum on TET

Imphal, September 17 2012:
Tribal student bodies including Churachandpur District Students' Union (CDSU); Zeliangrong Students' Union, Manipur, (ZSUM); Naga Students Union, Chandel (NSUC); Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS) and Senapati District Federations Association (SDFA) have jointly served an ultimatum to Education Minister Moriangthem Okendro Singh and other authorities concerned for making arrangements for issuing forms for Teacher's Eligibility Test (TET) in all the hill districts within 3 days and conducting the examination in all the district headquarters.
In case of failure, the tribal student bodies warned of launching intense democratic agitation from September 29 and categorically stated that the authorities concerned should be held responsible for any consequences in this regard.
Signed by their respective Presidents of these tribal student bodies, the ultimatum also demanded that the examination scheduled on 19th September 2012 should be rescheduled.
