'Re-open NSCN (IM) camp at Shirui'

Ukhrul, October 16 2017:
Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) president Weapon Zimik taking the privilege of the visit of DGAR to Ukhrul today submitted a memorandum on behalf of all the Tangkhul Civil Organizations today urging that the NSCN (IM) camp at Shirui be re-opened .
Among other points brought to the notice of the DGAR, the memorandum asked the reinstatement of the NSCN (IM) camp at Shirui village which was closed down in 2009 .
The memorandum also highlighted the detention of NSCN (IM) leader Anthony Shimray, the political commissar between NSCN (IM) and GoI, while he was on his special peace mission at Hungpung village on July 29 this year .
Subsequently the memo also mentioned that 3-AK rifles were also seized by AR at Nambisa outpost .
The memo added that the KNA/KNF cadres taking shelter near 31 Assam Rifles post at Kamjong and the "valley based underground cadres" should be checked as this has created fear psychosis amongst the people .
The memo was jointly signed by the presidents of TNL, TSL, TKS, TMNL, TNWL and four zonal chairmen of Ukhrul district.
