Imphal, September 14 2015: Demanding prompt punishment of all the culprits involved in the murder of K Ibemhal, a protest demonstration was staged today at Yairipok Thambalnu Keithel.

The protest demonstration was organised by the Poiroukhongjil Pioneer Youth Club and it was participated by volunteers/members of eight local clubs, eight Meira Paibi organisations of Poiroukhongjil and the JAC constituted against the murder.

Speaking to media persons by the sideline of the protest demonstration, Poiroukhongjil Women Welfare Association general secretary L Meratombi decried that police are still unable to establish any clues about the murder although it has been almost one since the murder took place.

She said that various forms of agitation would continue until the facts and circumstances leading to the death of K Ibemhal are established.

All those accused pulled up in connection with the murder should not be released on bail.

66 year old Ibemhal was found murdered at her own home on August 18 and the murderers took away Rs 1,40,000 kept inside a locker in Ibemhal's house.
