Sexual Harassment at Workplace Prevention Week observed

Senapati, December 13 2024: The District Administration, Senapati under the direction of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India observed 'Sexual Harassment at Workplace Prevention Week' today at DC Conference Hall, Senapati.

The programme was observed to create a safe and secure work environment for women by preventing, prohibiting, and redressing sexual harassment, said a release issued by the office of District Information Officer, (DIO) Senapati.

Panii Ngaonii, SDC Senapati welcomed the gathering and briefed on the activities to be taken up during the observation of 'Sexual Harassment at Workplace Prevention Week' .

Mercy Kayina P, LLM Case Worker, One Stop Centre, Senapati, briefed on the Sexual Harassment and its sections of Act.

She also highlighted the responsibilities to be taken up by employees and people who have witnessed harassment and also stressed on the importance of setting up the Internal Complaint Committee of its composition and roles to be followed up, said the DIO Senapati.

The programme was also attended by Sub-Divisional Officers, District Level Officers and its staff and Police personnel, added the DIO Senapati.
