Senapati, June 13 2022:
The authorities of Higher Secondary Schools (Science stream) affiliated to Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur (COHSEM) in Senapati district have expressed their disappointment with the recently declared result of Class XII examination conducted by COHSEM.
In a release, the school authorities pointed out certain flaws and loopholes in the recently conducted Hr Sec examinations which allegedly victimized the students of schools and Examination Centres where examinations were conducted.
It alleged that certain loopholes and anomalies have been observed in the conduct of the examination and the process of evaluation and negligence on the part of the Council that led to the poor result in the recently declared COHSEM Science Stream result especially in Senapati District.
"There has been cases of Question Papers being leaked openly and have been widely circulated in social media and WhatsApp platforms yet no action has been initiated by COHSEM to address the issue", it alleged.
Claiming favoritism by COHSEM, the authorities alleged that some schools were given home centres and that evaluation of Examination Papers were done at a record pace leading to poor evaluation of those deserving students.
In regards to re-evaluation, the authorities stressed on the need to change the mode of Re-Evaluation and that it should not be just Re-Tabulation of Marks but Re-Evaluation of the answers written by the students.
"The change of syllabus in Home Science was made aware as only change in nomenclature from Home Science to Human Ecology and Family Science and not the syllabus.
Moreover, it was brought to our notice just two weeks before the start of the examination regarding the change of the syllabus", it added.
The school authorities of Senapati district further appealed to COHSEM and authorities concerned to kindly address the issues and loopholes to promote fair and quality education.
