Imphal, June 13 2011: Solving the problem of the people living in the remote Jessami area under Chingai A/C of Ukhrul district, who have not received any PDS items for long, Senior Scientific Officer, Environment and Ecology Wing, Government of Manipur Presho MK Shimray has provided 400 bags of rice and 100 bags of sugar.

Shimray handed over these PDS items to the chairman of Jessami Village Authority Council Ayete Wezah during a simple function held at the Church campus of Jessami village yesterday.

On the other hand, MOBC Minister Md Alauddin Khan has distributed materials provided under Economic Development Programme (EDP) among the beneficiaries during a function organised by Wabagai Kendra MOBC Beneficiaries Committee at Heibom Makha Khelakhong Kongjil today.

Ex-Minister Abdul Salam, Assistant Project Officer of MOBC (EDP) Alam Azad and other officials of MPCC minority cell were also present at the occasion.
