Imphal, November 12 2015: Farmers' Field Day on Fish was held at Khabam Bamdiar on Tuesday.

The programme was organized by Khabi Bamdiar Ideal Fish Farmers' Club, Khabi under the sponsored of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Imphal West.

The Farmers' Club is being sponsored by NABARD, Manipur and financed by Manipur Rural Bank, Nambol Branch.

Delivering a speech as the Chief Guest at the inaugural function, Kamei Chingdinliu Rongmei, Pradhan, Konthoujam Gram Panchayat appreciated the members of Khabi Bamdiar Ideal Fish Farmers' Club, Khabi for organizing the Field Day and making fresh fish available for Ningol Chakouba.

Dr I Meghachandra Singh, Principal Scientist (Seed Tech) attended as president while N Guite, Deputy General Manager, NABARD; Dr Ch Basudha Devi, Senior Scientist (Fishery); RK Yaifaba Meitei, Asst.

General Manager, NABARD and Kh Baleshwar Singh, Assistance Branch Manager, Manipur Rural Bank, Nambol Branch were attended as Guests of Honour respectively.

About 700 Kg Common Carp, 200 kg Ngaton, 300 Kg Rohu, 500 Kg Grass Carp and 200 kg Bao were sold on the spot.
